EAHAD 2019
06.02.2019
The European Association of Haemophilia and Allied Diseases held its 12th Congress in the Prague Congress Centre. Compared to previous years, the congress in Prague attracted a record number of participants, an increase of 25 %. In the light of snowy Prague, the Congress discussed the upcoming new treatment, i.e. genetic therapy, which could practically turn haemophiliacs into healthy people. In this respect, it was a great success for the Czech Republic that it managed to organise the congress in Prague.

According to the president of the congress, Dr. Jan Blatný, Ph.D., this is an award for the Czech system of care for haemophiliacs. Jan Blatný further stated that the biggest advantage of holding the congress in KCP was the space. "Furthermore, the view is beautiful. Everyone I talked to at this congress really highlighted the nice view of the city. I also recognized the great hospitality from everyone at the convention center, including the Holiday Inn Prague. All the people I met, whether at the front desk or in management, were helpful."
